Tool inputs and location
TrailScout can use a ZIP code or browser-provided location to search for nearby trail data. BootMatch uses the options you select to calculate footwear directions. Location access requires browser permission and can be denied; the public tools do not require your name or email address.
Technical and analytics information
Hosting, security and analytics providers may process standard data such as browser and device type, referring page, approximate location, pages viewed and interaction events. This may be used to operate, protect and understand the site.
Browser storage
The site may use browser storage to remember device-local preferences, such as whether a bookmark reminder has already appeared. Clearing browser data can remove those preferences.
Amazon and third-party links
When you follow an Amazon, USGS, NPS or other third-party link, the destination site’s privacy policy and technologies apply. Amazon may provide aggregated reporting about qualifying affiliate activity.
Your choices and updates
You can deny location access and manage cookies or stored data through browser settings. We may revise this policy as the tools evolve; the date above identifies the current version.
